Sports Related Injury
As we know, physical sports always have a level of risk involved and it is not uncommon to receive a knock or injury during a game. However if an injury occurs due to an accident that was not part of normal play, you may be able to make a claim for injury compensation.
A sports injury can occur on any level from playing professionally to recreationally and you can make a valid claim for compensation if someone else is to blame for the accident.
To be able to make a valid claim for compensation due to receiving a sports injury, there has to be negligence on the part of someone else. This can include:
- A defective, unsafe or poorly maintained facility or equipment
- A defective, unsafe or poorly maintained playing surface, i.e. the pitch
- Malicious or violent behaviour from another player
- Inadequate training or supervision
