Accident Line
Accident Line is the Law Society’s referral and personal injury insurance service, managed on their behalf by Abbey Legal Protection (a trading division of Abbey Protection Group Ltd).
What do we do?
We offer two ATE insurance policies, Protect and Protect Plus to our members. Details of both schemes are enclosed so you can decide which one is right for you. Most Personal Injury cases are eligible for cover without reference to insurers, including Occupational Disease.
Membership also includes:
- Free referrals
- Free place at our annual CPD accredited training programme
- Delegated authority to conduct cases
- Marketing support service
- Regular e-briefs on legal, insurance and market issues
- Your own account manager to oversee all aspects of your membership
About Us
The Accident Line scheme has been around for over 10 years now and has remained successful despite an ever changing market. This is largely due to our willingness to listen, be flexible and adapt to the needs of our members.

About You
We assess applications based upon the criteria for each scheme (see relevant section), but we will always look for:
- Expertise in the field of personal injury – demonstrated by membership of the SRA’s Personal Injury Accreditation Scheme or being an APIL Senior Litigator (or above)
- Commitment to client care, risk assessment and management
- Experience in CFA’s
