You may not have a claim if:
- There is no one to claim against.
- The accident was definitely your fault.
- Your personal injury was sustained more than three years ago. (Though there are exceptions to this rule eg. certain illness claims)
- It falls outside the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. (If the accident occurred overseas, check to see if your claim can be pursued in England or Wales)
If you are unsure, still call Accident Line on freephone 0800 19 29 39. Our call centre is managed by lawyers with considerable experience in handling these matters. They will be able to tell you quickly if your case is suitable for referral to a specialist solicitor near you. |
