Injury payouts guide

Assessing the amount of pain and suffering caused by an injury can be difficult. Everybody is different and the context of their lives affect the severity of an injury.

In regards to personal injury, however, some things are universal, such as who was at fault and whether the injury was due to negligent behaviour. In these instances it is easier to classify a guide pay-out amount relating to certain types of injury.

Accident Line Direct have provided this information up front but before you take a look, we would like to make you aware of a couple of things;

Since 2013 there have been some changes to the law surrounding personal injury cases. The changes now mean that a solicitor’s success fee, from a No Win No Fee type claim, must now be deducted from claimant’s compensation award rather than recovered from the defendant (the person you are claiming money from).

In 2013 the courts also increased a claimants No Win No Fee compensation by 10% for general damages.
