NHS Targets could affect survival in Cardiff Hospitals

Figure.1 shows that Cardiff performed well when the time was increased to 8 and 12 hours but was unable to meet its target for 4 hours. The orange line shows the 95% target level of patients to be treated, admitted or referred within those target times.

Figure.2 highlights that this target is very rarely met. If you have been diagnosed with suspected cancer but have not received any form of treatment for 62 days or more, then you may have fallen victim to severe NHS delays.
In a national survey that sampled 3,800 people in the Cardiff area, many were dissatisfied when trying to see a GP. 38% of those sampled found it fairly or very difficult to book a GP appointment that was convenient for them.
